Your fondness for chewing on floor scraps made me think you were ready for food. But you really don’t enjoy age-appropriate foods like mashed avocado and banana. You much prefer to gnaw on bits of paper. I have started putting Joe’s O’s (Cheerios) on the floor for you, and you have been OK with this arrangement.
Not much to report in the sleeping category. You seem to be happy with our co-sleeping arrangement, and I am, too.
You didn’t grow very much this month. You are 28-1/2 inches long, 22 pounds, with a 18-1/2 inch head. That puts you at 50-75% for length, 75-90% for weight, and 75-90% for head size. I think you are starting to grow into your body.
You have grown two more teeth—two teeth on the top to match the two on the bottom.
More hair has grown, too! You can’t really tell from looking, but I can feel the difference when I wash your hair.
This month, you learned to clap. I am not sure if that is a milestone, but it sure is cute.
You also learned to pull up to stand, and you have been walking around a little bit while holding on to furniture.
Last week, you looked at me, waited a beat, and then let out this chuckle like you’d just delivered the punchline to a joke. It made me laugh. You’ve got good comedic timing, kid.
I can tell that we are gonna be friends.
