A really short video of August screaming and sitting up.
A short video of August sitting up. (I sat him up, he didn’t get there on his own.)
A kind of long video of August rolling over and screaming and squealing and fussing and stuff.
A sketch of August from my little sister, Megan.
Augie’s been sitting up in his little swing. He can hold his posture for a few seconds before slumping over in distress. (He looks angry in these pictures because I was taking pictures instead of helping him up right away.)
Don’t let your baby suck on your chin unless you want a chin hickey.
Addie and Augie on the bed(ie).
August rolled over today, tummy to back and back to tummy.
For perspective, his sister hit that milestone when she was 12 days older than he is now. I think they both got Daddy’s muscles. (I hope so!)
I should probably get video of this…
August is three months old! Here’s an update:
You eat a lot, and it shows.
You’re still a really good sleeper. You are only waking up once at night, which isn’t much of a hassle at all. Sometimes you don’t even have a wet diaper in the middle of the night anymore.
You’re not doing too much of this lately, just once every few days. Although I kind of wish you would go more often so you wouldn’t be so crabby and it wouldn’t be such a big mess… Incidentally, the Thirsties Duo Wrap does a good job of containing everything. No blowouts yet!
You are now 26-1/2” long, 18 pounds, with a 16.5” head. That puts you at 95% for length and weight and 50% for head size. And you’ve moved up to regular-sized prefolds and size 2 diaper covers.
You can grab toys and put them into your mouth. You also suck your thumb sometimes. You are gaining more control of your head and neck. You can push yourself up during tummy time, but that never lasts long—you don’t seem to like tummy time very much.
Augie, you’re still the sweetest baby ever, although at the moment you’re not very happy. Gotta run!
