Pretending to drink like a big kid.
Four on top, four on bottom.
August, you are 10 months old! (Two weeks ago, whoops.)
Here’s what yer up to:
You like to eat pretty much anything I’m eating. You especially like chicken. You will taste fruit and veggies, but they usually end up on the floor.
You still nurse and take a bottle when I’m at work. Last week, you decided you would not take a bottle all day and went almost twelve hours without milk! That was not a fun day for you or Daddy.
You are still a good sleeper. You still sleep with us.
You are 23 pounds, 29.5 inches tall, and your head is 18.5 inches around. That puts you in the 50-75% group for weight and height and 75-90% group for head size.
You’ve grown another tooth on the bottom left, your seventh tooth!
You seem to have inherited a couple of skin conditions. Keratosis pilaris on your cheeks and arms from my side and eczema on your cheeks from Daddy’s side. Sorry about that, dude. Hopefully you’ll grow out of them.
You are making more and more sounds. You say ma-ma-ma-ma and ba-ba-ba and you like to run your fingers over your lips and make babbling noises.
You can stand on your own. No walking yet, but you are a speedy crawler.
Daddy taught you how to high-five. It makes you giggle when I high-five you.
You like to strum on the ukulele and pound on the piano.
Augie boy, your toothy smile lights up my day. You have such a sweet demeanor…most of the time…and I enjoy seeing you grow and learn every day. As much as I love having you as my baby, I’m looking forward to seeing you become a toddler, walking and talking and playing with your big sis.
