If you ask Adelaide if she’s OK, she says, “Ya, I’m OK.” Except she says, “La, I OK.” I think it’s cute. I also like the look that she gives me in the very last half second of the video.
The other thing she says in this video when she’s pointing is “picture.” Just thought I’d translate that for you.

Adelaide opens her birthday gift from Grandpa Bob and Grandma Cindy… A tricycle! (Or a bicycle, in Adelaide’s mind.) Just like the ones her cousins have.
The bucket I mention in the video is a little yellow bucket that goes on the back. Kyle got it attached later that day. I know you were wondering about that.

Grandma and Grandpa Kallevig were here last weekend! (Not gonna lie, it’s weird to call your own parents Grandma and Grandpa!) My mom earned a free flight and cruise through her work, and so Kyle and I volunteered to drive them to and from the airport.
I think we decided that next time my mom gets a free cruise, they can just ditch the cruise part and hang out with us for the weekend 🙂
We went to a cute little diner in downtown Long Beach called Bake ‘n Broil. Outside was a big bicycle rack shaped like a bicycle, which Laidey promptly climbed all the way up to the top.
She also made friends with the ants, saying, “I love-love-love you!” while nearly smashing them to death with her finger.
Oh, and I didn’t get video of it because Adelaide was too quick and Grandma was too obliging (as Grandmas are), but Laidey got a cute little stuffed piggy bank and a kitty cat for her birthday! She loves them, of course. In fact, she brought her piggy to church on Wednesday and forgot it there, only to remember it when we got home. “Peg? Peg!?!” Don’t worry–Laidey and pig were reunited on Saturday.
Here’s Adelaide in a cute little Mexican dress my mom picked up for her in Ensenada. It’s tough to get Adelaide to stand still for a picture these days–I did my best, Mom!

Oh ya, and that’s my mom talking to Adelaide–my parents were in Los Angeles for a couple days last week. It was a super short visit, but it was really good to see them 🙂
