Augie gives thanks
“Thank you for airplanes, thank you for jets, thank you for the yellow and blue helicopter.” -Augie every time we pray

Adelaide: Let’s play Boxcar Children! I’ll be Jessie.
Me: Well then I guess I’ll be Violet…
Adelaide: Who do you want to be, Augie? Do you want to be Watch the dog?
August: No.
Adelaide: Do you want to be Benny?
August: No!
Adelaide: Do you want to be Henry?
August: No!!
Adelaide: Well who do you want to be?
August: I want to be a robot.
Mommy: (whispering) I love you.
August: (whispering) I wuzh you. (pause) I’m gonna punch you.
Mommy: (whispering) What?
August: (whispering) I’m gonna punch you in the face. Psh!
– August, when he picks up a stray hair from the floor.
– Augie when he’s mad. I’m not sure what it means. I think it might be “Because, I’m not (doing) anything!” but that still doesn’t make sense. Probably something he heard Adelaide say.
This is from a couple of months ago. Augie likes looking at “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” and doing the animal sounds. The sheep is my favorite.
Adelaide: (in a bathing suit with her hands behind her back) Look, Ariel has been caught! They’re going to put her in a tank with dolphins! It’s a good thing I like dolphins.
August: (with hands behind his back) Wook! I caught!
Mommy: Oh no, August has been caught, too…
Adelaide: No, he’s just pretending!
Mommy: Well aren’t you pretending, too?
Adelaide: I’m pretending I’m caught for real, actually.
