Here’s a video Kyle took of Augie on the slide at the mall. Resilient little kid.
Since I’m here, I might as well write a little update on the Augster:
August is having the time of his life. He knows how to climb on chairs, now, so that means he gets into a lot more mischief, climbing onto the desk and whatnot.
His mouth is full of teeth. Sixteen, to be exact.
He recently learned how to walk backwards, and sometimes he does it with his hands clasped behind his back, which is super adorable.
Um, what else?
Augie is turning out to be a friendly kid. Whenever we are at a restaurant, he likes to walk to other people’s tables and just stand there and smile.
He loves his sister.
I recently gave him a too-short haircut, the first of many MomCuts:
(He doesn’t seem to mind.)
Augie’s favorite food is anything he can dip into sauce. Such a guy.
He likes to pester the dog.
He’s super ticklish. (Gets that from me.)
August is a man of few words. Two words, that is. “Maam” and Daaa” are his mainstays.
He loves electronics. He’ll drop everything to grab my iPhone if he knows I’ve left it alone and within reach.
One of his most favorite things is picking up Daddy from work. He gets so excited. And that’s what we’re gonna do right now!
A video for the grandparents – August opens gifts on his first birthday.
