August is 4 months old!
(Psst, if you only see one photo, click to the right to see more.)
Here’s what’s going on with you, Augie dog:
Sometimes it seems like you spit up as much as you eat, but you’re getting bigger nonetheless.
You are a champion sleeper! And you often don’t wet your diaper until you’re awake. I see potty training success in your future.
You’ve been quite good to me, little boy. From the beginning, I have only suffered a handful of sleepless nights. That’s pretty nice.
My only regret is that you’re too big to sleep on my chest anymore. And when I try, you don’t like it. I can’t believe that stage has already passed…
You are 19 pounds, 27 inches long, and your head is 17 inches around. That puts you in the 95th percentile for weight, 90-95 for height, and 50-75 for head size.
You might have teeth coming in soon, if drool volume is any indication.
You can roll over (and over, and over). It’s tough to change your diaper these days! You can sit up for a minute or so when I sit you down. You like to grab things with your hands. You like a little bit of tummy time. You have a ready smile. You enjoy your sister, even when it seems like she’s just being obnoxious.
Little Augie, you’re such a sweet boy every day. Sometimes you remind me of Linus from the Peanuts comics—gentle and bright, with a penchant for your thumb. I am enjoying watching you grow, and I’m eager to see your personality develop and hear what’s going on in your head.
I love you.
